Regent Honeyeater in Grevillea (2021)

The regent honeyeater (Anthochaera phrygia) is a critically endangered bird native to southeastern Australia. Significant destruction of the woodland areas that constitute its preferred habitat have led to its numbers declining to the point where there are only an estimated 250 individuals remaining in the wild.

This is a limited edition print (an edition of 10) created by layering a hand-printed and hand-coloured linocut with solar plate etchings. The bird block is adapted from a photograph taken by Ian M. Williams (

21 x 29.7 cm print (paper size: 27 x 39 cm), on 300 gsm Hahnemühle paper, unframed. The edition number you see here is not necessarily the artwork available.
